Cloakroom & What to Leave
Motorcycle helmets, umbrellas, walking sticks and sharp objects must be left in the cloakroom. Small backpacks must be carried at the front or by your side. Scooters, bicycles, Segways and glass containers are not allowed.
Good to Know
Eating and drinking are not allowed in the exhibition areas, and phone audio guides should be used with headphones. The galleries are climate-controlled and can feel chilly, so bring a light jacket.




Most visitors spend around 1.5 to 2 hours at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, following the flowing galleries through the arts of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 to 19:00 (Thursday until 22:00) and closed on Mondays. It sits right beside the Seine at the foot of the Eiffel Tower — easy to combine with a walk along the river.
